Arkansas Tech University School of Nursing

ATU or “Tech” as it is usually known, is located in Russellville in the heart of the Arkansas River Valley, between the Ozark and Ouachita mountains. The college is proud of its big campus experience offering an active Greek life, 1,500 annual student events, 48 major-specific clubs, and 130 campus activities.

The nursing programs include a BSN pre-licensure program; an LPN to BSN Program; a 12-month RN to BSN online program and an MSN in Nursing Administration. All programs are accredited by ACEN (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing).

The curriculum for the BSN is focused on a blend of academic coursework and hands-on clinical experience. The program is structured around the completion of three semesters of pre-requisite coursework before students may apply to be accepted to the nursing major. After acceptance into the program, students are taught through classroom sessions plus skills and simulation laboratory work as well as clinical assignments in various health care agencies.

Harding University School of Nursing

Harding University is a private Christian university which adheres to a distinctive set of practices that include required Bible classes; daily chapel; and a Christian code of behavior for the board, administration, faculty, and students. Almost 6,000 students are enrolled.

The Carr College of Nursing is ranked #1 in Arkansas by registerednursing.org and is accredited by CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education). The mission that the college has set for itself is to develop nurses as Christian servants by preparing graduates who are able to provide nursing care reflective of their faith and who value lifelong intellectual growth. The college also deeply values the development of a global and intercultural perspective and offers it's nursing students several international learning experiences in Christian mission projects in Guatemala, Tanzania, and Haiti.

Harding offers a traditional BSN track, an accelerated BSN track, and an online MSN leading to qualification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Henderson State University School of Nursing

HSU was founded in 1890 as Arkadelphia Methodist College and is now a public four-year liberal arts university that requires all its undergraduates to complete a core of courses in the arts and sciences. It’s proud of its nickname, “the school with a heart” and its many traditions including the annual football “Battle of the Ravine”. Its nursing programs are accredited by CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education).

On offer at Henderson is an online RN to BSN with flexible practicum projects that can be completed in two semesters, a dual degree RN to BSN offered on campus in Hot Springs, a hybrid RN to BSN that blends online learning with face to face classes, a traditional BSN on campus on Arkadelphia, and an LPN to BSN pathway also in Arkadelphia.

University of Arkansas Monticello School of Nursing

Accredited by ACEN (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing), the University of Arkansas Monticello is part of the public university of Arkansas system and has campuses in Monticello, McGehee, and Crossett.

On offer at the school is a traditional BSN, an RN to BSN, an LPN to RN and an accelerated LPN to ADN option. Nursing students can take advantage of a seven-bed simulation lab utilizing both adult and pediatric models. In addition, access to a simulated nurses’ station gives students the opportunity to learn how to work with the most widespread computer applications currently in use in the nursing profession.
