CNA Training Classes in Colorado

Take up a CNA program in Colorado and see how much it can propel your nursing career forward. Colorado is the third fasting growing State in the US. Pursuing an in-demand health care career as a Certified Nursing Assistant here will open up numerous opportunities for you to setup a stable future for yourself and for your family.

Admission Requirements

You need to take note of several admission guidelines when applying to CNA programs in Colorado. They are more or less similar to the requirements of admission set by other States when it comes to accepting CNA trainees.

  • Minimum age – The youngest CNA applicants accepted for training would be 18 years old. To prove that you are of eligible age, simply show a copy of your birth certificate and other related IDs.
  • Medical records – Your immunization records and other health-related documents are needed to show that you are physically capable of handling the workload of a CNA.
  • High school diploma – Though this requirement is not strictly enforced, at least a high-school level of understanding is needed to be able to understand CNA training easily.

Tuition & Fees

CNA courses are the least expensive nursing course according to recent studies. The tuition and fees you need to settle before taking CNA programs in Colorado will vary depending on your chosen training facility. The rate is usually between $400 and $800. You can also have your tuition fee waived or reimbursed in exchange for a short period of employment at your chosen training center.

Course Duration

For the state of Colorado, the minimum required hours of training for CNA programs is 75 hours, spanning anywhere from 6 to 12 weeks. During this period, you will receive comprehensive training on human anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and infection, as well as the fundamentals of nursing, emergency care and laboratory procedures. For the duration of the training, you will spend half your time studying theoretical concepts in a classroom setting. The other half will be spent doing hands-on training at real facilities such as hospitals and nursing homes.
