Denver College of Nursing

Denver College offers an ADN training program which lets you earn an associates degree in nursing with a focus on didactic and clinical practices in as little as 6 quarters or one and a half years. This degree doesn’t require you to have any previous experience in the field and is great for high school grads or returning adults.

You can also work to earn a BSN degree on campus or enroll in an RN to BSN online program. A master’s of science in nursing degree track is also available but requires completion of a bachelor’s degree. Students receive various kinds of support throughout their enrollment, including tutoring and writing assistance.

The Independence Center CNA School

Winner of the People’s Choice for Gazette’s Best of the Springs Continuing and Technical Education Programs, the Independence Center is a nonprofit organization that trains people for working in in-home care. Students are trained to work with people with disabilities. The center is an advocate for individuals with disabilities and their civil rights. The center is approved by the Colorado State Board of Nursing and prides itself on its nursing training program. You can qualify to become a registered nurse, PA or MD. Graduates must renew their licenses periodically. The nursing assistant program is 104 hours and can be completed in 4 weeks.

The university is a fully accredited school of nursing and offers both online and on-campus courses that are taught by experienced professionals in the field.
