The pool of available nurses in Hawaii is shrinking. In 2010, there were 650 less nurses than there were in 2006. Although the nursing field is growing in America, more practitioners are needed to fill the gap in Hawaii. With a total of eight accredited nursing schools in Hawaii, the state presents plenty of opportunities for aspiring nurses.

With accreditation from of Hawaii’s finest schools of nursing, you can earn a salary of more than $66,094 per year. This salary paid to nurse professionals is steadily growing to make the field promising for learners who want to become experts in nursing.

There are institutions like Capella University where you can get your Ph.D. degree in nursing or get a masters in nursing by enrolling in a program with the Walden University.

More still, if you are looking for a degree in nursing at Hawaii State, you can get one from Herzing University. Capella University further provides an accredited online nursing degree program where students in the nursing profession can pursue their goals from virtually any location. More so, the institution provides new students starting a nursing degree to a $5,000 scholarship that is available for the DNP, BSN-to-DNP, or DNP preparatory program. You also get military employer or nursing association membership.

Walden, on the other hand, offers a fully accredited nursing program that is mainly CCNE accredited and comes with a vast pool of nursing degree programs. Also, Walden University offers long-distance learning program with their efficient online platform that has been operational for many years. Other accredited schools where you can get quality nursing training and employment include the University of Hawaii, Hawaii Community College, and Kaua Community College.
